The cactus is harvested and processed to create cactus leather by first cleaning and mashing the leaves into a pulp. The pulp is then dried and mixed with a non-toxic, water-based binder to create a material that is pliable and can be used in a variety of products.

Cactus leather has several unique features and benefits:

  • Sustainable: Cactus is a natural carbon sink, it has a great CO2 sequestering capacity. From our 14 acres, we are able to absorb 8,100 tons of CO2/year while at the farm we only generate 15.30 tons of CO2  annually.
  • Lightweight: Compared to traditional leather, cactus leather is lightweight and strong, making it a comfortable material.
  • Unique: Cork leather has a distinctive texture and appearance, making it a standout material in design and fashion.
  • Environmentally friendly: The cactus plantation is perennial, meaning that we only plant one time and the plantation last for about 8 years. actus absorbs CO2 during the night because only when the environment is fresh the plant opens its stoma capturing CO2, generating oxygen and absorbing water present in the atmosphere which normally comes from the morning dew.

The cardholder is capable of holding up to 6 cards comfortably. However, please note that when first using the wallet, the apple leather will take a week or so to soften. Please start with a smaller number of cards.
