Cork leather is a type of material made from the bark of the cork oak tree. The bark is harvested from the tree without causing any harm, allowing the tree to regenerate the bark and be harvested again after 9-12 years. The harvested cork is then ground into a fine powder and mixed with a binding agent, usually natural latex, to create a sheet of cork leather. This sheet is then embossed with a desired pattern or texture and can be colored or finished to create a final product.
